News / NUFSA members ratify new contract

Members of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University Faculty and Staff Association (NUFSA) ratified a contract with “significant improvements and no concessions.” After months of bargaining, the three-year collective agreement improves working conditions and equity provisions, and includes significant salary and benefits increases. As negotiations with the administration continued, academic staff associations across Canada pledged their support. The agreement averted a potential strike that was just hours away. NUFSA members voted 100% in favour of a strike mandate last August.
