News / Contract academic staff at U of T authorize strike mandate

After months of stalled negotiations to sign new collective agreements, contract academic staff with CUPE 3902 at the University of Toronto, St. Michael’s College and Victoria College voted overwhelmingly for a strike mandate.

The union's demands include wage increases to match the cost of living, pay equity across the units, increases to benefits, shorter timelines and more opportunities for advancement.

Strikes could begin as early as April 1.
